Chhaya Café
Chhaya Café was a restaurant in the East Passyunk neighborhood of Philadelphia. They wanted a website that showcased their high quality coffee options and brunch menu. They also wanted to highlight their community events.
For the home page I featured a background video of their siphon coffee process as they were one of the few restaurants in the city that offered it. Since they wanted a website that they could manage easily without having to know web coding, I put a system in place that allowed them to update their menus easily utilizing the Accura Food Menu plugin. In addition, I implemented a sync between the events on the website and their Facebook account so that they only needed to post in one place and the event would be listed on both sites.
The business was sold in 2019 so the website is no longer active.
Website Prototyping Process
Below are examples of the sitemap and wireframes I created for this project.
Design Phase
After the infrastructure and wireframes were approved, I began the design phase. I shared a series of style tiles with my client that showcased font, icon, texture, and color choices. The colors I chose were based on the color scheme of the restaurant.
